Dr. Michelle Ford
Dr. Michelle Ford
Senior Pastor at Serenity Christian Worship Center

Dr. Michelle Ford is a vessel, chosen and empowered by God to preach the gospel in this end-time.

An anointed woman of God, she answered the call to the preaching ministry in 1989. Since that time, her preaching gift (as well as her musical talent) has opened doors for her to travel
throughout the United States and overseas.

Born the eldest daughter to the late Bishop Andrew James Ford, Sr. and Lady Elrita Coaxum-Ford, Dr. Ford is a third-generation preacher and pastor. She was licensed in 1991 and remained faithful and devoted to her parents’ ministry until God called them from labor to reward.

In 1998, Dr. Ford was ordained and consecrated an Elder in the Lord’s Church by her eldest brother and pastor, the late Bishop Andrew James Ford, II. In 2001 she was installed as an Associate Pastor of Ford Memorial Temple Inc. and, in 2004, was elevated to the office of Overseer in the Holy Convocation of The Next Generation Fellowship Covenant of Churches Inc. Additionally, she served on the Board of Directors as the Administrator of Ministries at Ford Memorial Temple from 1993 until 2006.

In 2004, the Lord began the process of transitioning Dr. Ford from her birthplace. After serving under both her parents and her eldest brother, the thought of departing her family’s homestead to venture towards God’s divine will and call for her life was unsettling. However, after much prayer, consecration, and obedience, she was released by her pastor in December 2006 to begin planting Serenity Christian Worship Center Inc., located in Pennsauken, New Jersey.

Through Dr. Ford’s preaching and teaching, Serenity Christian Worship Center has attracted young families as well as seasoned saints. SCWC’s mission is to exemplify God’s purpose, God’s power and God’s character. Together we strive to be more skillful, faithful, wise, and industrious laborers committed to the fulfillment of our God-given mission. In addition to pastoring at SCWC, Dr. Ford is an Adjunct Professor of Eastern University, an Adjunct Chaplain at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital located in Hamilton, New Jersey, and is a member of several clergy affiliations. She is also the founder and coordinator of When Women Pray 2Gether (a ministry devoted to inspiring female pastors, ministry leaders and laity through weekly online corporate prayer).

“Her pursuit is to abound and minister in the work of the Lord to win souls to the Kingdom. Because being anointed, and in the Will of God is all that matters.”

Dr. Ford graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biblical Studies from Geneva College; received the prestigious “Women in Ministry” Award from the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Congress of Black Women; and was awarded the President’s Scholarship at Palmer Theological Seminary where she received her Master of Divinity. She holds a Doctor of Ministry from Drew University Theological School.

Dr. Ford has a sincere passion for exemplifying family principles, and seeks opportunities to encourage and motivate men, women and children to stay focused on their goals and never give up.
